Ukrainian Refugee Crisis

Send Relief is bringing help and hope to displaced families in Eastern Europe during the Russia-Ukraine war.

Overview

After nearly a decade of conflict, Russia officially launched its invasion of Ukraine in February of 2022, moving tanks and troops into the Western territories.

Right now, nearly 14.4 million Ukrainians are displaced, causing a catastrophic humanitarian crisis.

Send Relief is working with local Baptist partners and churches in Ukraine, Poland and seventeen other nations to respond to the emergency. Nearly 1.9 million survivors have been served by Send Relief projects in Eastern Europe, and we can connect your church with even more opportunities to pray and support relief efforts!

Your gifts provide for the greatest needs of families fleeing the country: emergency food supplies, shelter, transportation, medical care, hygiene kits and, most importantly, gospel hope!

Ways Your Church Can Serve

While America will be receiving over 100,000 Ukrainian refugees, the relocation process to the United States can be complicated and not everyone is able to sponsor. However, if you or your church are currently serving Ukrainians in your community, here are a few ways Send Relief can help:

Training
From resettlement team training to one-on-one coaching, Send Relief can help churches and ministry teams that are welcoming our new Ukrainian neighbors. The training will cover how to serve and meet practical needs while being sensitive to other cultures and contexts, as well as what discipleship and evangelism strategies are most appropriate for the situation.

Grants & Resources
Based on circumstance and need, grants and resources are available to sponsors and ministries serving Ukrainians who are relocated to the United States.

Job Placement
Using local and national partnerships, Send Relief can help Ukrainians who have been authorized to work find employment while they are in the United States.
