Tech Cohort
Send Relief Boston and Veroskills are partnering to offer underserved communities access to high-quality software education training that could transform their lives and provide flourishing careers in technology. This 6-month program will equip 10 trainees to achieve their professional aspirations with online learning, mentorship and job placement after course completion.
Eligibility Requirements
- Reads English at an advanced level or above
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Experience using computers
- Desire to learn new software
- To successfully participate in Technology Cohort, trainees must:
- Attend tutoring sessions as needed
- Attend weekly online check-ins with mentor to make sure all assignments are planned, clear and completed
- Attend monthly Cohort Brunch with other trainees
The Café Internship
Send Relief Boston and The Well Coffee House is launching an internship program to help young people learn job skills and experience mentorship. This internship cohort runs for twelve weeks and provides cafe industry training, customer service skills equipping, and an introduction to teamwork dynamics within the workplace. Upon completion of the internship, participants qualify to interview for a permanent position within one of The Well Coffeehouse’s several locations.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must speak English at an intermediate level or above
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Enjoys talking to new people and can work in a fast-paced environment
