In 2019, 15,000 children entered the foster care system in Georgia. With more than a decade of service in the area, the Valdosta ministry center prioritizes children in crisis by training churches and parents in best practices for the foster care journey. Whether it’s through monthly mentorship camps, church training, or trauma therapy, the Valdosta center’s goal is to decrease the number of children in foster care while increasing the number of churches that are supporting foster families.
It is in this time of desperate need that you have the greatest opportunity to give practical assistance, make personal connections, and share the gospel.
What will you do:
Teams will come to set-up, decorate, and take part in a local churches VBS Camp (ages 1st-6th grades). Areas to serve will range from food preparation, leading games, leading bible studies, leading music, interacting with kids, and other areas as well depending on giftings that the team has.
