Bringing Hope to Crisis
From initial damage assessment to welcoming residents back into their homes, Disaster Relief volunteers are the first on the scene and the last to leave.
When you’ve seen a disaster on the news in the last 50 years, Southern Baptist Disaster Relief (SBDR) volunteers were already on the scene—and they remained long after news cameras left town. As the third-largest disaster response group in the nation, this network of state-based volunteers teams does more than just clean up; they bring the healing of Christ to those whose lives have been shattered.
When you give to Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, you are meeting the immediate needs of people in crisis while also investing in long-term gospel influence. We recommend you give directly to those states facing the greatest needs, which appear first in the drop-down list. Choose a state to be directed to the appropriate site to make your gift.
States impacted by natural disasters need your help. Locate state Disaster Relief directors below. They can provide the best information for training and deployment opportunities. If you are already an SBDR trained volunteer and have not yet been deployed, contact your state DR director to let him know of your availability to serve.
