Use the free ministry guide and promotional resources below to help identify needs in your community and mobilize your congregation to serve.

Families in your community are facing real needs, and your church is uniquely positioned to respond. Backpack Day is a simple, proven way to mobilize your people, serve neighbors, and open doors for gospel conversations. While many churches use this opportunity to help students start the school year with confidence, backpack ministry can support the outreach your church is already called to do.

Fill backpacks with school supplies, hygiene items, food, outreach materials, or other practical resources that meet needs in your community.

Last year, 967 churches distributed 64,008 backpacks across the country through local ministry efforts.

This is more than a distribution. It’s a catalyst for ministry.
