As Send Relief’s Day of Service approaches on October 3rd we at Baptist Friendship House, a Send Relief Ministry Center, would like to invite our local churches in the New Orleans and Greater New Orleans area to partner with us for a day of service. Join us as we minister to families by providing each family with backpacks filled with school supplies for their children and a bag of food, on October 3rd from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (or while supplies last).
Our goal for this event is to provide every family who comes to receive school supply backpacks with a bag full of food to feed their family. However, for this event to happen we are asking our churches to collect the grocery items listed below. For each bag to be as uniformed as possible we ask each church to collect the specific size of each item, but we do not have a preference on the branding. We also ask that each church prayerfully choose an item(s) to focus on collecting, and pledge a specific amount to each item(s). This is a big task, but we know God is faithful and will provide. If your church is interested in collecting items for our day of service please contact Kayleigh White at (662) 316-5237 or [email protected] or by contacting BFH at (504) 949-4469, [email protected], or messaging us on Facebook at Baptist Friendship House.
