What do you think of when you hear Miami? Beautiful beaches? Sunny skies? Spanish flavors and sounds of Calle Ocho or Little Havana? Or, do you think of the Art Deco designs of the building with neon lighting for effects? Miami is all of this, but so much more. Miami is a city of contractions. It is ranked as the third richest city in America and eighth in the world according to a 2018 USB study of 77 world cities, but 1 in 4 people live in poverty. Doing ministry in Miami has it’s own unique flair in this exciting location.
Your GenSend mission experience will include working along side some of the established and emerging church planters in the Miami area; as well as with well-established churches. This work will include opportunities to assist with mercy and compassion projects and through outreach opportunities into new communities where a church plant is being established.
One day of your mission experience will be set aside for a mini “Catch The Vision” CTV Tour which will include an overview of what is it like to live and work and do ministry in such a vibrant city with extremely diverse communities within miles and sometimes only blocks from each other.
We can also arrange for a “free” day during the week to allow you to explore the area on your own. Some of the local attractions are: The Beach, Calle Ocho, the Art Deco district, day trips to the Everglades or to Key West.
