Hurricane Ida made landfall 16 years to the day after Hurricane Katrina, and like Katrina, this monster storm is creating wide-spread destruction along the Louisiana Gulf Coast with wind damage and flooding. Tens of thousands of people may be without power for weeks.

The immediate needs are assistance with general clean up alongside KY SBDR teams. There is a possibility that there will be additional crisis response assistance needed as determined by the on-site coordinator. 

 

Housing will be at Coteau Baptist Church located at 2066 Coteau Rd., Houma, LA

  • Shower facilities with male / female designation are provided. 
  • Meals will be provided
  • Please bring bedding supplies (sleeping bag / single air mattress / pillow / linens)
  • Please bring work gloves, a mask, and neceassry tools

There is no cost.
