Send Relief is in the process of expanding mission experiences to include overseas trips. Because of the unique nature of international trips and travel during the COVID-19 crisis, planning for these trips involves additional steps. In many cases, our international partners also need specific skill sets from volunteers to help them with their projects.

Trip Locations
This service project will help feed, house and assist displaced families along the Mexico-Guatemala border. Volunteers will have many opportunities to share Bible stories, play VBS-inspired games and care for the physical needs of migrant children as their parents work on immigration papers.
- Requirements: 18+ years (one member must speak Creole or French)
- Language: Creole or French proficiency required by at least one member of the team.

On this trip, you will be helping a partnering organization focus on community development in an impoverished region of Northern Thailand. The goal is to share God's love while meeting physical needs by caring for single mothers and children and sharing Bible stories or personal testimonies. Part of the care plan for single mothers is instructing them on how to properly care for their newborns and nurture healthy pregnancies. Volunteers may also be involved in prayer walking throughout rural villages, looking for “people of peace” to build relationships with and encouraging village leaders in their work.

Teams will be working with children from war-impacted families who have enrolled in youth programs. Join our national church partners in ministering to children and teens by organizing and hosting day camps! Help these kids and young adults process the trauma they have endured by engaging them with crafts, games, lessons, skits and personal testimonies as you partner together with Armenian churches in serving internally displaced families.

Using a salon as a ministry platform, our national partner trains young single mothers and other marginalized women in basic barber and cosmetology skills. Using these classes, she is able to reach ostracized populations—including women who are handicapped, impoverished or survivors of human trafficking—by offering free services such as haircuts. No specific skills or credentials are required to go on this trip, but salon skills would be helpful! If a volunteer on your team does have related training, they will be asked to help teach our national partners additional cosmetology and salon skills, assist with classes and participate in outreach efforts.

- Language: While our national partner speaks some English, we will also have other partners present who can help with direct translation.

This experience will serve as a vision trip for church leaders or professionals seeking to partner with our team in Nairobi. There will be a specialized tour for leaders to visit project sites that may include medical, sustainable farming, industrial, mechanical, clean water, feeding and temporary shelter facets.
- Requirements: 18+ years. Must be church leaders, professionals and/or partners.

Volunteers on this trip may expect to partner with local schools serving special needs students living with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, speech and learning disorders and other challenges.
Volunteers may work with teachers to provide activities covering hygiene and grooming, life skills, arts and crafts and vocational skills in classrooms, dorms or farms depending on the class’s specific needs. Teachers are often in need of learning resources and recreational workshops that your team will be encouraged to help host! Teams may also be asked to help with environmental improvements, one-on-one tutoring, the purchase of school supplies and sports materials, as well as daily chores such as cooking, cleaning and hosting music programs or Bible camps.

This opportunity will serve as a vision trip for church leaders or professionals seeking to partner with Send Relief in South Africa. There will be a specialized tour for leaders to visit project sites that may include medical, sustainable farming, industrial, mechanical, clean water, feeding and temporary shelter aspects.

In Greece, Send Relief has partnered with local churches and leaders to come alongside their volunteers in transforming the hearts of refugees. Volunteers will work in whatever capacity needed as they provide and distribute necessities like medicine and medical attention, hygiene items, diapers, shoes, clothes, food, clean water and shelter. Additionally, volunteers will participate in educational programs, legal support, skills training and income-generating initiatives.

Volunteers will join Send Relief partners at a children's home in South Asia that serves girls who have been rescued from human trafficking and sexual abuse. Professionally qualified staff care for their physical, medical, psycho-social, educational and legal needs in a secure, loving environment. Our partners’ goal is to see these girls heal and thrive as they transform into independent, successful adults who can successfully reintegrate into their communities. Volunteers can expect to be involved in all aspects of this rehabilitation process, with a priority being placed on those who are able to teach English.

Volunteers on this trip will be involved in equipping youth and young couples to become the next generation of leaders in their churches and communities. Teams may also work on agricultural projects such as establishing water reservoirs, working on farms and constructing barns for livestock.

The situation in Ukraine is ever-changing, and Send Relief is working closely with field personnel and partners to fulfill urgent needs as they arise. Some of our volunteer response locations include but are not limited to Poland, Romania and Moldova. These volunteer opportunities are limited and fill up quickly. Volunteers can expect to be involved in welcoming displaced Ukrainians at border sites, renovating shelters, distributing food and clothing, caring for children and youth, providing medical care, assisting with immigration paperwork and caring for vulnerable women’s needs.
