Help Send Relief equip churches to minister to refugees in North America.
The plight of refugees is often unknown. Often displaced from their homelands, they leave their temporary home to come to America with hopes and dreams. Little do they realize that for all of the challenges they leave behind, new challenges await them.
The culture shock for most refugees is enormous. From language barriers to their lack of familiarity with modern appliances. Support agencies provide short-term assistance to help them settle, but it is never long enough. They need friends to help them acclimate to the language, find a job, understand the educational and healthcare systems, learn to drive, and much more. Yet, in the midst of these complexities come opportunities to build relationships that can lead to sharing the gospel, often with people from varying religious backgrounds.
The Clarkston Ministry Center, located in Clarkston, Georgia, sits as the city center of one of the most diverse communities in North America. With over 50 nationalities represented, Clarkston truly is a melting pot. As a result, it is the perfect place for ministry to take place and to learn how to minister among such diversity.
The center was purchased from Clarkston International Bible Church in May 2017. While operating as a ministry learning center, the center continues to serve as a worship facility and provide daily services to the Clarkston community through partners. The facility is in great need of upgrades and renovations, and your support will allow the Clarkston Ministry Center to provide long-term assistance to the community as well as training churches throughout North America to minister to the world around us.
