Your church can meet needs and change lives this fall by participating in a nationwide backpack event!
A backpack service project provides your church with the unique opportunity to serve a wide variety of vulnerable communities—all at one event! If your church is already engaged in an ongoing compassion ministry, use the backpacks to help support that project or consider these ideas:
- Pack School supplies for students in low-income families who are headed back to school
- Pack stuffed animals and fresh sets of clothes for children in the foster care system
- Pack hygiene kits and household essentials for newly arrived refugee families.
Send Relief wants to help you get started by providing your church with 24, 48 or 72 backpacks completely free of charge or, if your congregation needs more, we would be happy to provide additional backpacks at our cost!
You can also equip our brothers and sisters in churches in other parts of the world to hold the same event for hurting families in their countries—a donation of just $10 can provide a family in need overseas with a bag of food, hygiene items, essentials for disaster survivors and more.
We are so looking forward to seeing how you care for your neighbors this fall!
